Hello! I'm Indiah. I’m a jack-of-all-trades artist based in Magandjin. I work predominantly in theatre but my practice stretches across, between and beyond a variety of different disciplines.
I am a self-diagnosed maximalist, lover of colour, light and juicy language. I enjoy weaving together vibrant and intentional worlds on the page and stage.

Indiah (she/her) is an award-winning independent theatremaker, performer, director and designer. Her work celebrates the rich, colourful, muddy aspects of humanity. Working across physical theatre, immersive experiences and contemporary performance, she is drawn to work that transforms unconventional spaces, foregrounds embodiment and invites audiences into acts of intimacy, play and shared humanity.
Indiah is the Artistic Director of Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre, an internationally acclaimed theatre company with a 33 year legacy. Independently, she founded the immersive theatre company The Drawer Productions which has brought colour, detail and rich performance to unique Queensland spaces through its successful immersive works. Most recently, she created and directed Blushing, an original physical theatre work that won the 2026 Matilda Award for Best Independent Productio, with nominations for Best Direction, Best Circus and Physical Theatre and Best Ensemble. She directed The Drawer's multi-award-winning production SHELTER: The Immersive Experience earning a Brisbane Immersive: Outstanding Immersive Production Award and Melbourne Fringe Tour Ready Award. Her performance and producing work continued to bring in acclaim with Hello Stranger, an immersive production from The Drawer, presented in partnership with Alzheimer’s Queensland. The production won the Queensland Theatre Emerging Theatre award and People’s Choice at the Anywhere Theatre Festival.
A graduate of the Queensland University of Technology's Bachelor of Fine Arts, Indiah has trained, studied and worked with organisations including Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre, Queensland Theatre, La Boite Theatre and PlayLab Theatre. She was awarded Queensland Theatre's Young Playwrights Award in 2018 and continues to build a body of work that champions original Australian performance, interdisciplinary collaboration and bold, deeply human storytelling.
